Default Barona Drags

This event was at the Barona Indian Reservation today in east San Diego County...all serious cars at this one.....no ricers either....

Most cars were in the mid 6's at this 1/8 mile track..some were in the high 5's at 130 mph +..

Did you run? I need to head up there eventually. Do they run all brackets, any heads up, or...?

There is bracket racing for NHRA points..I believe there is bracket racing for domestics as well...I just happened by taking a short cut back from Ramona...just seen the time trials...did not run...
There were two new GTO's running in trials...so you can run there as I was asked at the gate about running or spectating...

Hehe...That yellow T-Bucket looks like the one that belonged to a buddy of mine.

I gotta get up there to Barona sometime; I wanna run Wildcat in a car with power and pray I don't get stuck behind the old blue hairs going to the casino.

I opted to work on the exhaust leak on the Vette instead today...Next week it'll be replacing the water pump on the Jaguar.

The strip out there actually looks kinda nice; I'll have to try to make it out there to race sometime.

Impressive was a plain Jane lime green 1965 VW (rear engine) that nearly caught/passed a Chevelle BB that ran 7 sec....the chevy got him off the line, but when that bug hit second/third gear he caught up to him at the finish...

Bleh...I hate driving up 67 and through Ramona.

Maybe I'll have to make a run out to Dudley's sometime after I get the suspension package on the Vette, to get bread.
