need switch - everyone says backordered till mid Dec.
Anyone have any idea where to get one?

I would go to your local Chevy dealer and have them search the system
alot times they can find absolete or NOS at another dealer.

I agree, my dealer has done this and even taken a part back without restocking when did not match.

whose part # is that? 593028. If it is a GM part with a GM part # the key is to find that number!

That was Corvette Central's number.....how can I find the GM part number? It's a difficult part to describe over the phone and there is a similar switch next to the one I want (easily confused - see pic) and I'd have better luck locating it if I gave the GM parts guy a number which they always prefer anyway.

If you have an AIM, the part number will be listed there.
