Just thought I'd say hi.
I've wanted a later model C3 vette for a long time. I figure I may as well try to learn something about them before I get one. My plans are to buy a rolling chassis with no interior so I can do everything myself. I plan to put an Ls1 in it like my camaro.
I currently drive a 99 black z28 with quite a few mods. Here's a pic of it. Quality isn't so great because this is phone picture, but it's still a beautiful car!

Welcome to the forum. Lots of great info to be had here. Sounds like you are in for a big project. Someone on here right now has a body and frame they are giving away. Check it out. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...6&forum_id=119
At one point I had a 95 Z28 with a 6 speed and loved it. Don't we always miss the cars that we let go.
Yeah, the Ls1 is a little better engine. But the Lt1 seems to have more low end torque... atleast stock for stock.
And that free car was the first thing I looked at when I got on here. Too bad I'm in Texas!
Welcome! Good choice on forum section selection. You will learn a lot more here than in the other "fluff" sections (C4,5, & 6), although you may want to check them out for things like tips on vacuuming your floor mats.

Nice Z-28. I have a 95 vert.
I saw a 80-82 C-3 for sale in Corsicana on the 24th. Check on e-bay There was a I think a 73 coupe that was in the north west of the state near Amarillo that went for less than a $1000 needed lots of work.
