...to getting the speed nuts tight on the rear lettering (74/75)? I've tried my fingers (ouch), pliers (twisting while pushing) and a socket (pushing) and the letters are still loose. Can't get them to snug up.

Took me forever to figure out which letters went where (no instructions in the box and they were all jumbled), and now I can't get them tight...

I used some adhesive along with the speednuts on my rear emblem on my '78, I actually lost one because the speednuts was not secure enough and they rattled off. And we all know these emblems are not cheap.

they arent the nuts that came with mine...mine have the acorn style speed nuts with a small amount of seem sealer on the end...you can use a socket on them and get them nice and tight.

Mine didn't come with any, so I found some that matched the previous type. The "Acorn" type may not work as I have a "TruFlex" rear bumper and the material is thicker than the stock urethane. There's not enough of the letter mounting posts sticking through to get one of those "acorns" on, hence the flat spring speednuts.

I put 383 emblems on my stinger hood and added a little silicone adheiesive along with the spring nut.
