Default My final combo

Hey guys,
As per our previous converstaion; I went down to a local tire shop that was reccomended by a lot of people. I talked to a guy (manager) John at a local Tire Works. I was there for about an hour and a half. Between him, and and another guy we came up with my final combo. However I'l still not sure. Today I'm supposed to be going back taht to see what this tire looks ike mounted on the wheel. However, I checked the reviews on these Pirellis and they are horrible. Noisy, horrible treadware, bad comfort. They are Pirelli P6000 Sport Velocity 100H
P235/60R/16 all the way around with 16x8" Torque Thrust 2 wheels. After the wheels, tires, mount/balance, wheel locks, tax, and old tire disposal I'm paying 1,487.40. Not bad... thats actually a much better price than tire rack considering what I get. The only other tire he was in this size is a Yokohama Avid V4S which has every option either in or highly near superior, and its actually like $3 cheaper per tire comapred to the Pirellis. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Rear:
245/50WR16 Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval
Blackwall

Wheels:
16x8 American Racing Vintage Torq-Thrust II Polished

BALLANCED/MOUNTED FREE!

After shipping, tax, and wheel locks its: $1,616.03
---------------
The guy from Tire Works had this (which he didn't reccoment the 16" and 17" combo):

Front:
205/50R16 Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval
Blackwall

Rear:
245/45R16 Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval
Blackwall

Wheels:
16x8 American Racing Vintage Torq-Thrust II Polished

After tax, mount/balance and wheel locks its: $1,737.17
-----------
Or the Tire works guy also did this: (REVIEWS SAID THIS TIRE SUCKED)

Rear:
235/60R16 Pirelli P6000 Sport Velocity 100H

UPDATE!

FRONT:
Dayton Daytona HR with UNI-T 215/60R/16

REAR:
Dayton Daytona HR with UNI-T 225/60R/16

Wheels:
American Racing Torq Thrust II 16" FRONT AND REAR

Wheel locks
Lifetime Wheel Balance/Mount
TAX
Tire Core

$1,400.17 out the door

These Dayton wheels are extremly good tires he said. And they're made by Bridgestone, so you know they aren't crap.
Plus, hes worked with me for 4 hours, in the past 2 days, pulling wdown all sorts of sizes, and brands, calling all kinds of people.
He even ordered 4 wheels wo I can just see them. These Dayton tires are cheaper than the Pirellis, or the Yokohamas so hes not just trying to make a sale, hes actually a cool cat.

You know that Bridgestone is a Japanese company, right?

Actually its American.

FireStone Founded it's first factory: 1902 in Ohio, with 12 employees, and second hand machinery.
Bridgestone (Japaneese) purchased Firestone, however moved it's plant, and research facilities to the USA. In numerous locations starting from the 1970's - current day between Chicago, Ohio, and Tennessee. Not to mention the foudner of Bridgestone (Japaneese) was so fond of FireStone, that he not only chose a similar name, but produced similar tires. Now that Bridgestone is in the USA witht he purchase of the Firestone company, Firestone Technology is still on the market, and all the tires that fall into thee brands:
FireStone
BridgeStone
Dayton
Fusion
are either made here in the USA, or in Great Britian.
