Been a while since I looked around the C3 section thought I should stop in and say to some of you old timers!

I jumped the C3 ship, (thanks to the ex! ) but you can't drag my *** to far away from fiberglass. (See sig Pic below)

Hope to see some of you guys out at the cruise in (or before)!!!!!

Daytona69, I still have a package here with your name on it.... I know... I suck. Damn I still miss that car!!!!!!!!

Glad to see you are still around. From what I've learned about the C5 Z06's is that the white ones were pretty rare and they'll propably be future collectors items?

everyone!!!!

I had her out to E-town the week after I bought it!!! But I'm trying to be nice to her... she is expecting afterall. I think she's having twins!!!!! (Twin Turbos that is!!!!)

As far as the Speedway white becomming a collectors item... I dunno, they made like 350 of them - pretty low as far as C5's go, but I bought it to drive it... and I'm going to drive the wheels off of it!!!!! (just like my 69!!!!)

It was great to see you Gordon! And I still owe you a ride! We'll get it in before winter hits, I promise!!! Any time you guys are up for a cruise, race, autocross or drink let me know! I'll buy first round!!!!

I heard you got a Z06, Mike...sweet ride . E-mail me at mlappraise@socal.rr.com and I'll give you my address to get that package to. The '69 still kicks azz and is in good hands...it's a little under the weather right now (rear suspension) but will be good as new after the first of the year

Man I'm sorry to hear that Matt!!!! What happened? I had replaced almost all of that suspension some time ago (new spring, bushings and sways) with VB&P stuff. I origionally did the glass rear spring, but it broke after about 300 miles and replaced it with the steel 7 leaf. I hope it works out.

BTW, I'm actually out in CA right now on a business trip! I'm sitting in a hotel room out side of San Fran working on a presentation for tomorrow morning! How far is Fountain Valley????!?!?!

I was pretty sure that is what you were going to say about collectability. Who cares, to nice a car not to drive the wheels off it. Ride? This winter stuff sucks.

This...damn left trailing arm has a crack in it. Everything else under there is still in perfect condition.

Fountain Valley is in Orange County...a solid 7 hour drive from San Fran. Pretty much a straight shot on 2 freeways from there.

DAMN!!!!!!!

That actually happend to the passenger side some time ago! Doug up at ECS welded it back in shape, but it was no where as big as that! It was less than half that size!! I was always going to do trailing arms, but never got around to it. I wanted to do the offest ones, and do a little mini tub on the back. (You know to make it look stock! )

Sorry to hear it though! If it wasnt a 7 hour ride I'd swing by and help you swap them out! I thinkg the TR's are prob one of the last origional pieces back there.... I guess they had a good life! Good luck on the swap!!!! They can be a PITA, but I bet they will be worth it!

BTW... your sig pic is

I have no idea how long it's been like that. I crawled under there in September for another reason and noticed it for the first time, so it's been doing a whole lot of sitting since then. Yup...looks like the trailing arms are just about all that is left of 1969 in back. You're right...they had a good run.

Bummer you can't swing down this way...maybe next time. If I get back to NJ anytime soon I'll let you know. I grew up back there in Warren. I just noticed you're in Voorhees...my high school (Watchung Hills) played you guys. I lived there until I was 20 before coming out here.

The sig pic is one of many I have...check back since it changes from time to time

Good luck with the Z06!
