Default Heat shields for sidepipes

Anybody know where I can get a decent length set for a reasonable amount of money?

The cobra ones are $200 and are only 27" long. Is this more of a standard length or is that too short? I'd like to find a set for 4100 or less if possible. Chrome of course.

Patriot makes them in three different lengths, about 40 bucks each. Check at Summitracing.

Darn - I was getting ready to bid $3,500...

I'm just going to get a spare pair of leggings and put them on the passenger side...about $12.

I"m pretty sure cobra is now making 36" shields for vettes. Just e-mail the guy. They are the nicest ones I've seen.

And I have the 27" ones. Take a look at my pics for more info. 27" is long enough that I won't touch the pipe getting in and out of the car.

BTW, only the ceramic coated are $200, cheaper for plain steel or chrome.

Default A Little Of Both

The Vette is nice to start with but I also make my living shooting
photos, I'm the Senior White House photographer for the Associated Press covering the White House.

You know what would make a great picture to post is "W" in your sweet vette! See if you can arrange that!

If not that, just park it on the rose garden this spring and get some nice shots (pictues that is, just before the shots come down from the roof!)

I tried them. Had to call Patriot direct. They don't make them for the 3-1/2" pipes. Only the 3". Guy is going to cal lme Monday with diameter of the 3" to see if they can be "bent" a little to fit.

Got a price from the Cobra guys. $275 shipped for chrime 36" ones. Gonna have to wait awhile at that price.

So Patriot makes shields for their 3" pipes but not their 3 1/2" pipes? That's pretty stupid.
