Each year is a little different.. getting heavier up to 1978 (78 was the heaviest C3 IIRC) the 78 had a curb weight of something like 3557#
CURB WEIGHT - The calculated weight of a vehicle with standard equipment only as designed with the additional weight load of oils, lubes, coolants, and fuel, all filled to capacity.

'71 LS-6 coupe....certified weight at scales 3340lbs. This is the weight with virtually no fuel showing in tank.
Don't know what the weight of the tilt/tele column option or the rear window defogger option weights are, or addtional weight of radio being the optional stereo version.
Shipping weight shows 3202lbs with 3 gal of fuel. Curb weight is 3292 includes full tank of fuel (18 gals)
Add to this 10lbs for PB, 28lbs for PS, 11lbs for radio, plus LS-6 with HD trans 82lbs.
Therefore shipping weight without fuel is 3184 with standard equipment. Add 18 gallons of fuel 108lbs, ps 28lbs, pb 10lbs, radio 11lbs,
LS-6 & HD trans (M22) 82lbs comes to 3300lbs.
My car certified at 3340lbs, and has these options as well, tilt/tele, rear window defog, stereo radio. So assume these make up for the 40lbs as well as maybe a gal of fuel.
By the way, car still rides on 1971 dated original Goodyear F 70x15 rwl tires.
I believe that a 1968 Convertible, without AC, no power accessories, and a manual transmission was the lightest C3 made. I don't have my documentation handy right now, but I think the shipping weight was about 3100 pounds. Is it possible that the 68 Convertible weighs less than a 05 Z6? If that's so, then perhaps the 68 Vert weighs less than any C3, C4, or C5!
