Default Cheap Wheels For Snows!

Gotta drive my shark this winter (up north) and don't want to trash my factory alloys. Anyone know a cheap source for the plain steel (rallye) wheels? I saw them at Ecklers for $80/per, but would like to spend even less. Anyone know about any "packages" that include snows/tires? And can I use a slightly taller tire to get some addl road clearance without it hitting the wheel well?
Thanks all, regards to UKP.

Why not look for a beater in the 500 dollar range? In the long run the 500 spent on a beater will be chump change compared to what salt does to the frame and components...

Just for giggles/tee hee's,i plugged my Vette into Tire Racks site for a snow tire package...this is the response:

"Due to the unique technical aspects of this application, we are currently not accepting online orders for snow-tire and wheel packages
for your 1978 Chevrolet Corvette . Please call (888) 541-1777 to speak with one of our specialists about available products."

Think there is a message there...

What's UKP ?

Junkyard ... steel wheel ... 15x7 or 15x8 with 4 3/4" bolt pattern.
If lucky, you might even find some with decent snows mounted.

After you get the snows mounted go to tha hardware store and get about 500 machine screws and install them in the snow tires for extra traction.
