Looking to get a new cover, could anyone suggest a decent cover for my 69 vette that they have been happy with? It is garage kept so extreme weather is not a big deal. I've seen quite a few brands like wolfe, Noah, etc... and where you might suggest getting it?
Thanks-
Andy
ill have to go look what my cover is. i picked it up at salvation army for about 10 bucks, brand new in the box. completly waterproof but doesnt trap moisture under it. real heavy elastic band on it too so its form fitting and holds in place.
Wolf and Covercraft are the 2 brands that I like. I've got a Covercraft Weathershield for our C3, but that's because it sits outside. It's water resistant and breathable (nothing is 100% waterproof unless it's rubberized, which means that it's not breathable and will thus allow nasty things like mold to form underneath it), but was also $260 for a custom fitted cover.
If it's going to be garaged, a simple DustTop or Noah is good; the only thing I don't like about the Noah is that, because of the weave of the fabric, dust and animal fur are attracted to it like you wouldn't believe. (We've got a Noah type car cover that covers our Jaguar in the garage, and our cats like to go out and sleep on top of the car)
I'd go with a car cover that has a tighter weave than a Noah if it's just going to cover the car in the garage...
I got mine at Carlisle this year from Back East Car Covers somewhere out of Pennsylvania I think. I am very happy with it. It fits perfectly and is well made.
I just bought a Dustop from Ecklers for my new C3 that I keep in a storage garage for the winter. I had one for my C5 and was pleased with it.
The only problem with the C3 cover is that the mirror pockets are in the wrong location. If the mirrors were mounted on the front fenders, everything would be OK. The box says 80 - 82 Corvette, but... Since I want to cover the car now - I can't be bothered returning it and waiting for a new one.

Agreed...perfect snug fit right down to the base of the wheels, very low static (OUCHHH!)
I got this one just this fall. I never kept the vette at the house before and was afraid of it getting chipped or scratched. The cover was a little expensive, but the piece of mind knowing that no one can accidentally hit it is worth it. The say you can drop a 5 pound hammer on it and it will not touch the car. I belive it, but would not want to try it.
