The wife and I bought our first vette Saturday. We found an unmolested 1981 with 52K on it. It has a lot of small things to fix but I am looking forward to getting them done with the help of this forum (lots of good info here).

.

Just and update and pics, I did a complete brake job with a SSBC kit and loved the results. Next came a new a/c blower motor, radiator, hoses and belts. That must have put the car in shock because now I get to pull the engine and replace the freeze plugs.
The wife will have a nice car after the list of fixes gets done.

Very nice! You'll like the 81. A number of year specific items, but that's part of what makes this fun.

Congrats on your new addition. You'll probably get to drive yours this winter while mine is in storage.

I had one top off mine when I brought it home. I had to take it off to get into the car on the trailer and then I drove it off (with a winter coat on). So there!

Congrats On The New Addition To The Family. Be sure to love it, nurture it. It is like a child it will bring you much joy, as well as headaches, but thats part of owning a Vette that I think we all enjoy.

Congrats again.
