Hey I was wanting to rebuild the carb on my corvette before I sell it. I went to NAPA and they had like 5 different kits, looked around here and it sounded like there was supposed to be a tag on the drivers side of the carb with the #'s I need. There isnt anything there though. I believe it is the carb that came with the car.
The number is hard stamped on the side of the carburetor.
They're on the actual carburetor housing and fairly easy to find.
It will be a number like 7045202 or 7045203 etc. etc or
17052563 something along those lines, if you can get the number I could probably tell you the kit number.
Like they said above, it should be stamped on the carb, but I have a carb in the garage that was a remanufactured carb from some where, that just has a sticker on it, and they removed all of the factory numbers off the carb, even the numbers from the jets, and of course the sticker is to screwed up to read much on it.If you dont find a number, I would check and see what carb # your supposed to have on that exact vette and get that kit.
I looked right over the thing the dozen times that I looked at the carb. I wasnt expecting it to be where it was(stamped up and down). Im used to Ford trucks as that is all I have owned before, ford just dosen't offer a car that matchs this thing. I love it already in the week or so that I have owned it.
