70 vet supposed to be marlboro maroon
my '70 is supposed to be marlboro maroon, it has at least 3 colours, all varying shades of "red", does anyone have a pic of a marlboro maroon vet?

IT hard to really see the color on the computer, the best way is to go to a automotive paint store or body shop and look in the color chip books, it's best to view it in sunlight, the code is 975, I just repainted mine, I used dupont base coat/ clear coat, It was I believe about $100 a quart, I used 2 quarts, my car just had a few scratches here and there, but instead of trying to match the paint, It was easier to just paint the whole car, I have $500 in my paint job, no labor because I did it myself, A friend of mine works for a honda dealership and we put it in their paint booth on a saturday, the body shop was closed and no bosses around, then I drove home and wet sanded it and buffed it, the car turned out excellent, You ask me in another post about my 383, It runs very strong, it pulls alot harder than the original motor at all rpm's, The motor has nothing exotic about it, I built it 5-6 years ago, flat top pistons, stock 186 heads, edelbrock dual plane intake, stock Q-jet, 480 lift, 280 duration cam, I have $500 in machine shop cost, and probably 4-$500 in parts, the stock L46 motor is on a engine stand, I run the vette hard occationally and I didnt want to hurt the # matching block, good luck with your project, DAVEWSC

thanks for the reply, your car gave me inspiration for mine, i thought to myself when i saw yours " so thats what its supposed to look like!", i have hooker sidepipes on mine with a big block hood- gonna cost me a fortune! money well spent though!
