Front rubber bumper seam width?
I'm getting my front rubber bumper back on as I am in the home stretch for my resto project. I'm getting a slightly larger and irregular gap on the seam itself than I recall being originally there. This is the original bumper, removed, re-painted off the car, and now re-mounted with new mounting supports since the old ones were rusted out and broken.The drivers side is seaming up about what I would expect but from the nose on to the passengers side is a good 1/16" larger in seam width.
Am I being too picky with a '77 and the complete lack of dimensional tolerance the 70's cars had in those days? Pics of your front rubber bumper seam would be mucho appreciated to tell me I either have a problem that needs figuring out or to let it go and move on.
