There were some stories going around awhile back about Auto Custom Carpets building the only NCRS approved carpets. NCRS doesn't approve any parts as far as I know, but this brand is still pretty good.
My point is this. All the catalogs sell ACC carpets. I've put 4 sets (69, 77, 78, 82) of their carpet in and the only trouble I had was when I cut before I was really ready. Make sure the carpets are where you want them before you make that first cut. Choose your price/service level and buy it. Before you install it put some kind of heat shield/ sound barrier down.
used Ecklers on the 79 & Mid-America on the 66 coupe. I think all the major corvette distributors get their parts from the same manufactior.
Think I spelled manufactorier wrong twice now, anyway both were very easy installs.
