I think that I am going to go with 275s on my stock 15in rims soon, what tire height can I go with? I have 4.11 gears and I would like to get better fuel economy, so the bigger the better. What can I get that is avalible, and will fit? Thanks!
Nice red corvette, 275/60/15 or 275/55/15 will fit & are very close to the orignal height of the 225/75/15
What are you planning to put up front? I was running 255/60/15 but they rubbed when I turned the wheel clock to clock so I swapped them for 245/60/15 no rubbibg now & 255/60/15 on the rear. Like the look better also smaller tire in front big fat tire on the rear
I'm going to keep the tires that I have on the front, they're 235/60/15, Radial T/As with plenty of tread. The back however are in desperate need of replacing it rained out here a couple of weeks ago (California, no snow ^_^), and I hydroplaned so bad that if there had been cars within 20 feet of me, they would have gotten hit. So without modification (I am hesitant to move the parking break, I'm only an amature welder ), I could fit 275/60/15? Can't be much heigher than the ones that I have, but I'm getting used to the engine overheating after being at 3500rpm for 45 mins on the freeway.

BFG 275 60 15's are 28" tall. That is what I am running on the rear of mine.
Of course, some say the p-brake isn't worth having anyway...........
That's what I told my mom, but she was like "It's called the emergency brake for a reason!" If I wasn't 17 and living at home, I might just chop the things off and put off making the p-brake functional......

76mike...I did not have to make any mods to fit the 275 60 15's on mine. Some cars require that the "E" brake bracket me moved to the top of the trailing arm. There are many here on the forum that didn't have to move the bracket and many that did. It depends on how the tolerances stacked of for your particular car. Even if you find that you must move it, it's a prety simple mod that anyone with a welder could do for you.
Yes I have heard in the past that without moving the e-brake I could get 275/60/15s on the rear, and that if I moved it I could get 295/60/15s. I'll have to think about this one fast, as the rain is coming again and I don't want to slide into anything .
