Default Bowling Green or Bloomington ?

It's time to pick my vacation weeks for next year. Anyone that has been to the national Corvette museum , Could you tell me , Is it worth the trip ? Do they give proper attention to the C3s ? Could I combine Bloomington and Bowling green into one week or is that too much ? Is there enough to keep my teenage kids interested ?

If you've never been to the NCM then you should go. Check the website and find a time when "something is going on". CI?

Unfortunatly I can't drive my Corvette ( I don't think it would make 750 miles ) also I'll have my kids and wife. thanks for the link. Looks like Bloomington and Bowling Greeen should be seperate trips.

Not sure, we went twice last year (NCRS regional and CI) Both trips were just a couple of days.

I doubt there would be enough things to keep your vacation interesting for a whole week at Bowling Green. There are some nice attractions in the area including caves, Kentucky Down Under, Museum and plant tours, and whiskey tours. The CF Cruise In is a lot of fun, but not having a Corvette to do the road tours and such might dampen the excitement a little. Many will trailer their cars there and drive them for the road tours, etc. Some will drive something other then a Corvette on the road tours. The owners nights out are a mature crowd, probably not the best place for younger children.

Bloomington Gold is a great event, but one day is plenty to see everything. I've never been to Carlisle, but people say it's a better show then Bloomington Gold and that's a lot closer to where you live. There are a lot of great attractions in the Chicago area however, could easily spend a week here checking out museums and State Parks.

Bowling Green, KY is a nice town, but in all honesty, I think that 2 days is PLENTY. You can see the museum. Hopefully, you can schedule a Corvette plant tour.

Call to be sure the plant is running, and that tours will be held.

NOTHING against Bowling Green, but 2 days is enough. Chuck

Have you considered MAM Funfest in September and/or Corvettes at Carlisle? both are big Vette events. If you do go to BG make it an event weekend. I have done Bloomington twice, Carlisle once, Funfest once, BG 4 times. Labor day weekend is big (NCM birthday) as well as June 30 (Corvette birthday) other events going on all year I now have friends in BG and the local knowledge makes a trip there much better than doing it cold.
Make sure you get a tour of the plant, only place in the world where they make Vettes.

If you are doing Bloomington, try do the Saturday. I'll be having a cookout for a lot of CF folks right after the conclusion of the road tour. Watch for a post on this in the Great Lakes section starting in late March/early April.
