Default Trailling arms,, helpful hints

I just finished removing the arms on my 73 and thought my expirience might be of some help to someone. The first arm I removed took me over 5 hrs. The other side took only 2hrs and happen to be more challenging than the first.

First thing and most important, take all the time you need to remove the shimms, this is where you will spend most of the time with pry bars, screw drivers and hammers. The reason its very important is you have to see what your doing in there, and the shimms are not helping, they also are a bitch to saw through,,you will be cutting for ever and continueslly changing blades no matter how much you paid for them,,lolll.

Once the shimms out of the way, One Bi-metal blade per-side and cutting oil is all you need. It took me about 10minutes per cut with a 4$ blade. Hope this helps someone ...

When I did mine it took days of penetrating, prying and cussing to get the shims out of the first arm .... then I had to cut the bolt anyway..... on the second arm I just cut thru the shims and the bolt, didn't take too long with cheap blades and a cheap saw... the trick is slow speed and lots of cutting oil

I know on my 69 the bolt went thru the shim so it would be impossible to slide the shims out first.
