There's a sucker born every minute and aslong as someone is willing to cough up the money they will be willing to keep their prices high.

I believe 2005, Corvettes at Carlisle, Pro Team spent 2 Million bucks on cars!! They obviously have he cash to spend.........A friend of mine informed me that Pro doesn't have the cleanest rep around either!!

The C2 price boom amazes me. There seem to be hundreds of low mileage cars around, and they cost at least twice what an equivalent C3 would be. ProTeam is taking advantage of a very bullish C2 market. You could invest in coins, they choose to play the Vette market.

I agree.....

Barrett Jackson is fun, but they have done the average hotrod hobby guy a real dis-service with their inflated prices. Regular guys can't afford much anymore.

3 years ago, I sold them a beautiful 69 Convertible for $25,000. They added a jack to it and listed it on their website for $36,995

Why does everyone always seem to be bitching about Proteam? My God, they're a business and they're supposed to make a profit. As far as I know or have heard, they aren't acting dishonestly.

I would never buy a used Corvette from a dealer but then some people are willing to pay for convenience and easy financing. That's what they bring to the table.

Did you think they were going to resell it for $25,000.oo? It ain't a hobby. Besides it's only the asking price that is listed. If you go in without a trade you'll get a better deal than the asking price. NOW, you gotta know if you have a trade-in they win BIG time. Lots of overhead a Proteam, no differant than any other dealer.

So in other words, NEVER buy from a dealer.

If no one was buying from them.....they would not be around!

Some people shop for suits at Walmart, some shop at Brooks Brothers.

The choice is yours.

Ask the guy selling a car if he feels that way. Remember the farmer? He was hoping to get $100,000 for his Shelby and pay some bills......it went for $220,000+, His wife was in tears with joy
Is he a bad guy because two bidders had money to spend and both wanted his car...badly!

I cannot afford any of those cars either but that's life. I've enjoyed my mint condition '81 for 15 years now and just wrote the check for another years worth of insurance for $300. Add a few tanks of gas and I'm liv'n large for little money!!!

Later,
JU

Wow, I'd be upset too. That must have been a beautiful vette.

I kinda agree; except that Barrett Jackson isn't every-day life. And i think most realize that inorder to get B.J. prices... their car would need to sell in an actual B.J. auction (and their fees take a moderate chunk out of the final selling price).

And of course - to someone that must sell a car - the final selling price is what someone is willing to pay at the time - not what the seller "thinks" it should sell for.
