Do you think front spoilers like on the l-88 race cars helped them keep stable at high speeds? If so is there anywhere I ca buy one or tell me how to make one?
Spoilers create down force, which in turn help hold a car to the road/track at high speed. But unless you plan on some really high speeds, they are only for show. You can buy spoilers from Corvette America. Look at my corvette pictures (79 vette) and you can see a complete set installed if this is the type you are lookimg for.

Many of the magazine and testing reviews of earlier C3's are notorious for front end lift at any elevated speed. I could feel mine doing so at 60mph on the highway, even after lowering it, 17" wheels, you could feel the steering becoming light.
I have made a couple of versions of aluminum L88 style front spoilers and have just about finished the final version, and I deffinately notice the difference (on the front end and for cooling).
theres no one out there that is making an aluminum one....thoguh F Gregg racing sell a fiberglass style with brake scoops.

Do you have up close pictures of yours? I need one for road racing. I want the brake ducts also but those are pretty easy to put on.
The spoiler on that car is a little to big for me. I like the one in your sig better. Ill have to get some aluminum from my uncle and try making me one.

GM offered a Lower Radiator Extension in the 70's that was designed for the BB cars to get more air into the radiator opening. It was nothing but a 4 & a half inch rubber (truck mudflap material) that attaches to the stock poly-propylene spoiler. It looks good and being rubber handles obstructions well. I purchased one from GM and installed it on my ’77 back then. It was very inexpensive and works well to draw air into the opening.
One of the first mods I did to my ’73 was to replace the damaged spoiler and install one of the GM extensions. It’s very functional and looks pretty good as well. I don't know if GM still carries it, but it could easily be made if you had about a 6’ by 5” piece of the material.
I took a picture so if someone would like to see it I can email you a shot of it.
Unfortunately the pictures are pretty big, so I updated my Car Domain site... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2163514
You should be able to see the pictures there... the last two show it pretty well.
