Default repaint.....$%%@$!^

so,

i am going to repaint my qwst vehicle and possibly changing the name to the grnhrnt...... i want to stay with a green and need some opinions on some nice colors out there....i was thinking of also some ghost patterns too but might just throw in a pearl to change it up a bit..... my paint is cracking due to the ghetto azz paint job last summer and i might have to strip it back down to the glass and start from square -4..... if all goes well in the next few months i will have it painted before the end of spring so i can enjoy it during the year..... need some good ideas here........ if some one wants to photshop my car with some different tones of green and maybe i can have a poll or soemthing.....

I liked what you were doing and have done from your first post. My reason, it is different. There are too many C-3's that look the same. Yours has a distinctive color and wheels with subtle body mods and tastefully done. If you must change the paint color, why not just add a candy hue. It has a good clean look that works very well, why mess with it IMO. Also, I haven't seen your interior, but I would consider similar green velour seat panels to carry the color inside and adding a distinctive horn button. The custom touches work very well IMO.

You say you have a ghetto paint job? It matches those wheels.

Hey! I was the first to have those! I started the trend... thus the name. You're all a bunch of unoriginal copy cattin bastards!

Anyways, I always thought that your rims were photochopped in there from the looks of your avatar. How big are they? And how much were they?!

And as for the paint, have you thought of going with black and green ghost flames?

i rather be ghetto than redneck..........

20's with 45 series tires..offsets are exact as original rims...... overall diameter changed ...about 3/4" bigger

my dad had a black 74 and i remember how much of a pain it was to keep it clean...... i could just respray it same color and *** some candy or pearl to it..... there are some areas that i need to take down to glass though so i figure i should just do the whole car down to glass.... probably alot of work but i need to make it right this time and take it to a good painter......

i have no clue whay i started cracking... i noticed one of the rear light cups on the bottom starting to crack about 2 months after the paint was done..... then when i tarped it for the witner, i noticed the other cups started to crack....... i'm going to check it probably tomorrow and take pics........ not sure if the primer and base had a reaction or not.... i primed the car a few coats to feather in some areas and show my painter what i was using..... he knew his paint (i think)... not sure if there was an off gasing stage that he didn't go by or he just rushed it to get it out and get paid...... plus the paint/clear was put on thin ......found that out when i wet sanded it.......wtf..... so i stopped half way through...... i have a friend that works in his dads body shop as the body/painter guy and he said he would help me out.......... i trust him.... so, i'm not sure if i have to take it down to glass or scuff sand and repaint....... i would prolly take it down just to be safe....

I like how it's done, maybe ghetto but it sure fits together, I even like the color on the car, it may be :yuck; on another car but somehow it's just perfect. It's different and not necessarily wrong.

Would be even cooler if you bought a new outfit (and take a pic to post it here)

but seriously, I like it a lot. Ghettofabulous

I dunno...I guess I'm of the opinion that pastels only look good on certain era cars.

Early Ford T-Birds with pastels just look right; so do C1's and C2's.

I'd think maybe change the color more of like a Forest green or Emerald Green?

Just don't metal flake it; it'll end up looking like a "rednex" bass boat.

If you can get it the color of the car in your avatar that is about the best color green you can get. kina "dollar bill" green with a good amount of gold pearl would look sweet
