In a '59 we restored 3 years ageo a 1959 newspaper in the trunk, roach clip in a '70, in a another about 100 "Dime bags", empty...lol. Match books from the early '60's (no zip codes on addresses). Money from the year the 'Vette was made. Womens underwear...
Just toady i was going to post a thread like this.... I found a 1974 class ring in my 72 convertible... I post a picture when i get a chance.
Best find yet out of the 5 cars I have torn the carpet out of this past year... there is a name in there so I will have fun trying to find the owner so i can have the fun of returning it... maybe get some history on the car since i have no paperwork...except maybe the tank sheet but have to drop the after market exhaust to get the tank out.
luerja, I punched "Herff Jones" in google and it seems that's the ring manufacturer. not sure what the other is. sorry to shoot down your history find
$hit....Thanks anyway for looking
DUH!....maybe i should have checked the other inside part of the ring.... I have an update.... I have initials to work from.... "JRC" Will have to show photos to manufacture of the ring and hopefully they might have records.
Hopefully they are not like GM and lost all thier build sheet records of older products.

I think that is "JRG".......If you know the school name they can tell you who it belongs to. It was almost always on the ring. You already know the year of graduation and they were in band and whatever other symbols you may recognise. Try classmates.com
Zig Zag wraps behind right door panel vintage back to early 70's; then some change, original bolts and srews with a few unused rivets when I redid carpet .
Not a Vette...but...7 years ago; I bought a 1969 Dual Showman Reverb guitar amp...took out the reverb tank bag to repair the wires ...opend to bag to remove the tank and found some dried up weed/dust/stems-n-seeds and some strawberry papers in a sandwich bag wrapped in a lunch bag.
In the mid 70's:
As far as a car goes...my uncle was a used car salesman and his brother (my dad) was always his guinnea pig. My dad bought my mom a 73/4ish Chevelle with a SB 400 2bbl 4door. I removed the rear seats to run wires for 8-track speakers...found a bag of gold Bud...I didnt report that to dad
That car would smoke the 75 series belted tires to the rim and not move 20ft...lol
I havent gutted the interior of the Vette yet...its gonna be like opening a present...hehehe
Nothing found in mine except stripped out screws in the interior parts.
I can see why, the console has to come out to work on anything inside.
"Why would GM put that screw behind the parking brake cover in the compartment behind the seats"?
