They were included in my '79 and if I recall I have the invoice in the paperwork I got from the previous owner. I'm pretty sure he picked them up on eBay? I'll take a look and post any additional details. If you go the eBay route be sure you get the pair (ie left and right) I was forunate enough to get 2 rights, one of which I have since converted to a left and re-covered.
I made this for my 79, wasn't too hard to do, it keeps the speakers up off the floor (room for the tops underneath) and I mounted a fire extinguisher in the middle. When I get back home (next week) I can dig out some how-to-make-it pics from my home computer.

I was going to make both storage pocket enclosure and custom fit enclosures for 78-82 C3's ( I pattern it off my 82)
I actually built the prototype storage box enclosure, put it on ebay and ddin't even get a nibble, even with $25 starting bid.
That kind of discouraged me a bit. I never got around to making a 2 x 10" hatch box. Between the weather getting colder and my vette has been on jackstands waiting on my exhaust parts I haven't really had a chance to do any measuring for anything else.
I will be building my personal sub box when it starts warming up in a few months, that will be what I make patterns for the production 2 x10" box I'll try to sell on ebay.
To give you an idea on my box building skills, here is an auction of the jumpseat enclosure I designed and built for a S10 ex-cab, I've made patterns and sold around 15 of these already.
I'm heading into town to pick up some mdf, I know That I'm going to build a 2 x 10" sub enclosure. Thats the ideal size to put back there....12" subs would be too big.
I need some input from you guys.
1. Would you prefer a square angled box that fits back there or have built in trim panels to "fill" in the surrounding areas around the box?
2. Are you concerned with a close color match or just want a basic no frills enclosure covered in black, dk gray or lt gray cabinent carpet like most speaker boxes?
