Default I use PhotoBucket

www.photobucket.com

It's free!!

You can upload pictures there and then link to them in your posts.

On photobucket copy the IMG link and paste it into your post here.

It will look like this but show a picture instead:
[IMG]www.photobucket.com/name/picturename.jpg[/IMG]

Here is one that works:

What you need to do to post pics is to first upload your pic(s) to a location on the internet. Some people use cardomain.com, photobucket.com, photohost.org or if your ISP provides you with some webspace, that will work too. (or use one of the above suggestions)

Then in your post, click on the "Insert Image" button (directly below the right side of the font "size" box) and then place the whole address to the pics within the box that appears. To finish click the OK button and what ends up within your post should look something like this.

Note that the image tags (img) are misspelled (image) so they will show up here and not actually try and display a picture.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

I was using WebSnots and they didnt allow hyper-linking; and all my pics would Houdini after I posted.

I opened a free Photobucket account....and I can afford free.

Hello,
I am using a web site called TINYPIC HOSTING. This is a free website that will help to post pictures in places like this.

here is the address: http://tinypic.com/

Here is what I do.
1. After I download my photos on my computer I then go to this website and use the browser to find my photo.
2. I then use the browse function to host a photo and create an internet address,
3. I copy the address that has this format:

4. I then post it in the Forum message
5. To make sure it will show up I use the PREVIEW POST button at the bottom of the reply thread.
6. If it looks ok, I will then SUBMIT REPLY

If you open an account with photobucket, you will need to click on the "browse" button to upload your photo first. It will take you to your computers photo file. If it takes you to your document index, click on the up arrow at the top and that should take you to your photo titles. Click on a photo and then click submit in your photobucket account. Then look to see if the selected photo arrived in your photo album. There will be three options under each photo in your album. The bottom option is IMG or image. You want to cut that URL, like cut and paste and then go back to your message in CF. Click on the little picture icon at the top of the message page. This will open a window for you to paste you IMG URL. Click on OK and you will see [IMG]your URL[IMG] appear in your message. Click on view message and if your picture appears you did everything correct, if not, try again. This seems complicated, but after doing it a few times it becomes automatic. Hope this helps!

Default On down the line ...

What happens to the photo posted in the thread when the PHOTOBUCKET image is deleted? If the image helps the discussion or explaination then should it remain in the PHOTOBUCKET (or equivalent) archive?

By the way, that's a beautiful engine compartment David!

Thanks Carl.
Yes, if you remove the pic from the other site it won't show on this one either.

This worked for me. However I still have not figured out how to make a pic appear in every post as part of the post like some of the others do. It always tells me the size in megabites is to large. Good Luck

If I may butt in here, You need to add a picture to your signature post and click on "show your signature" box listed below the submit reply.
Then make sure you click on the submit repy button below that.
