Default 71 headlight adjustment

Looking at the headlights on the 71 tonight and noticed that the driver side pops up and is not flush with the bottom of the front end towards the bumper - looks like it should pop up another 1/2 inch or so. I think I saw where the adjustment is for the headlight in the down position (lines up nice on both sides in the down position) - but where is the headlight up adjustment??

Thanks,

There's a stop bolt on the outside/fender side of each headlight bucket.
Looking from underneath you should see a steel brace attached to the underside of the bucket with a stop bolt and (if you're lucky) a rubber bumper still on the head of the bolt. You can adjust the height using this bolt.

Found the bolt on the drivers side - no adjustment needed because it doesn't even come close when the headlight stops popping up. The bracket that contains the down adjustment screw seems to stops any additional up movement...

BTW: The bolt didn't have the rubber bumper. The passenger side does come all the way out (as mentioned earlier) and it doesn't even have the stop bolt on the bracket.

Any other suggestions to the headlamp bucket for adjustments that may help?

Thanks,

Will try the screw adjustment (and pin, as you suggest) on the actuator rod next.

Thanks.
