Found a couple of more pictures we took in July when we got home with my '68 BB convertable that I had bought from a fellow in St. Louis. It was right at dusk when we got home, so the pictures are a tad dark and the flash was playing havoc with the color of the car.
This is my best friend, Ken (L88 Vette on the forum) inaugurating the car with an ice cold Coors. That's my 85 year old Dad standing near the back of the trailer, wondering "what the h#ll has he brought home this time".
This is me getting ready to back the car off the trailer and praying like h#ll that I've got the ramps line up correctly!!!
Hi, Real nice looking conv. I bet it looks awsome in the daylight,,,hint, hint. As far as what your Dad is thinking,,,,, mine gives me the same kinda treatment,,,,,"what in the hell ya need that car for, you can only drive one at a time",,, then he turns around and goes back in the house talkiing to himself. Peace,,,Moosie

kdf, here's a a shot of my '73 coupe, which I've had since 1987.
Kind of like the best of both worlds. A SB, automatic coupe and a BB, 4 speed, chrome bumper convertable. And best of all, a loving wife that likes Vettes!!!
Great photos! Early C3's are special, in my opinion. Photos of mine the day I drove it home are priceless to me.
I notice that your '68 rear is a bit high. Did it have some larger wheels, and are you going to lower some?
Thanks! Yeah there's something special about them. Of coarse, I was fortunate to grow up during the old muscle car era, so these cars hold a sentimental nostagia mystique to me. You just had to be there to really understand...........
The previous owner bought the car with the 15" rallys that are on it now. He wasn't aware of it ever having anything taller. The entire drive train had been gone through just before I bought the car. It appears to have a rebuilt 9 leaf spring in it. I do plan on dropping it down a couple of inches this winter. All I've done is put gas (lots of gas ) in it and drive it since I got it home. The thing is just plain brutul. It ain't a stock 390 hp motor anymore.
