Today, I was trying to find access to the alarm/key insert that's on the driver's side front quarter panel on my '75, right beside the Stingray emblem (I know everyone knew that). Are you supposed to be able to get to it from below the car? My fenderwell is all sealed up underneath. Don't know if I can get to it from the top either.
But that's not the point of this thread. I removed a piece from underneath that exposed the canister that sits just below the emblem and right beside the large vent hole in the quarter panel on that side. The bottom of the canister has a hose attachment, but there's no hose.
Does a hose attach there? If a hose does go there, where does the other end go?

sounds like thats the vacuum cannister you are talking about.....and there is a small triangular piece of sheetmetal you need to take out to see all of that....for some reason i think you have to take the moulding off from underneath the door to get at all the hardware holding it on.
that is the evaporative emissions vapor carbon cannister. I do not believe a hose is to e there. The "nozzle' is for the draining of of any gasoline vapors that become liquid.
