Default Rallys vs Aluminum

I have the stock aluminum rims on my 77. I am considering switching to rallys. Which ones do you prefer, and why? My car is black

Default Rallys vs Aluminum

Aluminum, I have lost too many trim rings and caps over the years. Lost one set because of theft.

that's a tough one, both look good on the car with raised white letter tires. Buy the rallies and keep the mags. Swap them when ever you want the car to look a little different.

slotted mags get crapped up with brake dust within a week.

rallys trim rings and center caps fall off or get stolen. everytime you go racing you have to take them off.. gets to be a PITA

its a toss-up

I have always preferred the ralleys, trim rings and caps, but that is just my own personal preference.

Nothing looks better than a set of 15in. rally rims. A new set from Corvette America cost around $1200. complete

I must say the Rallys are gorgeous, but the trim rings are a headache. I just bought a set of aluminum, and I must say they look great. My original rallys are for sale on Ebay!!

I've never had a trim ring or center hub come off my car.

I think they both look terrific and that in the end you gotta decide which you prefer as opposed to what the rest of us prefer...

The rallies are much heavier... which means nothing if you are just putting around town. the first time you try to compete with the car you will like the reduced unsprung weight of aluminums.

I have rallies, and almost upped recently for 17" rims but decided against them.

If you have aluminums I'd stay with them...if you have rallies as well...well.. your call
