The battery in my 1982 Corvette goes dead after three days of just sitting in the garage. The battery is new and I just had the alternator rebuilt. Any ideas on why this is happening?
I believe coins in the lighter hole would short the circuit and blow a fuse not create a draw .
But obviously , there is a circuit draw created from somewhere . Put a test light between the positive cable and the battery , the light should be on if there is a draw . Pull fuses one at a time to see which one makes the test light go out . Then you can determine where your draw is coming from .
If you dont already have one, i would get a battery disconnect kit at autozone for $5. i always disconnect the battery when not in use. vettes are easy too since it is right behind the seat.
this will at least prevent it from draing while you work on it.
