Custom Dash Pics, Anybody?
Since it's now too cold to shoot paint, I'm finishing up the EFI on my engine, and getting materials together to start the interior... 
In short, when I went to rewire the car with a Painless kit (don't buy from them, the quality is NOT so good), the dash literally fell to pieces, and as I don't particularly like the factory dash and interior, I've decided to build it myself...
BTW, some pics (before I removed the dual carbs, and started the EFI (using an Enderle bug-catcher) are Here and HERE. And yeah, it STILL looks like a POS... but the body is coming along nicely, I've new rims for it... And the bugcatcher looks SWEET on top of the blower...
So anyway, regarding the interior... I already have the 5" Autometer electronic speedo and tach, using Digi-Devices LED instruments to monitor the engine, and I'm looking at a Lilliput touch-screen computer screen (probably ~8" diagonal) to mount in the dash above the shifter- both to access on IBM-clone computer for GPS, MP3 playback and such, but also to be able to access the Megasquirt computer in real-time, without the need for a laptop... The dash will probably be 1/4" fine-grain plywood with a Honduras Mahogany veneer, and a Mahogany and polished aluminum steering wheel....
At this point, I've not seen anyone else who's taken on anything remotely close to this... But I MUST ask.... has anyone seen something similar to what I'm attempting?
And if so, do you have PICS???
