I am able to mount and dismount tires off the rim but I need to balance them. Are those bubble balancers adequate?Any suggestions on resonably priced balancers?Thanks,,,,,,,,JW.........

My past experiece has shown that the bubble balancers need to be calibrated more often, if so for standard use will suffice. If your looking for a high speed balance, then the Hunter, Bend-Pak Ranger,Accu-Turn, Coats etc, are excellent.
Bubble balancer will do only a static balance which, unless you're lucky, will still give you vibration at speed. The only sure way to balance is a dynamic balance where the wheel & tire are spun to determine any out of balance at speed.

i remember just about every tire my dad bought back in the 70s
was balanced on a bubble balancer and i can remember my 72 grand prix
getting new tires and balance via bubble as late as 82 and i cant for the life of me remember any vibrations from them and i used to run the GP up and down the GSP and NJTPK at 70+ all the time running back and forth to CT.
Back in the old days, tires and rims were much narrower and a static balance (one plane) would be ok. Nowadays with wider rims, and fully independent suspensions (which the C3's had even then), you need a dynamic balance, and the latest balancers also check for tire/wheel runout and matching. If you drilled a hole in a big rock you could stick it on a balancer and zero it out, but it ain't gonna ride real smooth.

bubble balance is fine for a trailor show car but you need to speed balance for a driver. Its a Corvette not a VW Rabbit.
