Whats a bird cage???

I am looking for corvette terminology I dont have a clue as to what this is.

the metal support structure in the body, basically a pillars, windshielfframe, rocker channels, roof arch and the metal firewall hehind your seat (and the metal floor those that have a metal floor)

yes every vette from 76 and up has metal floor pans

Only Coupes have true birdcage structures. Convertibles don't.
Look at an AIM. You can see the Coupe birdcage. Convertibles don't have what could be called a birdcage. Correct???

Convertibles have all of the birdcage that doesn't include the roof, plus a few extra braces to tighten things back up, from what I understand.

HEY CARL. I use imagesup to host pics also, and today I found the three options to post pics on the net is down to two. Only links to the images now. WTF??? I sent an email to the owners requesting an explaination.

no wonder the birdcage photo posted on the test section but not this section. wait that dont make sensei tried 3 times to post that birdcage photo above then went to the test section and it worked went back here and it would not..somethin is up
