It is fairly simle to do. I purchased the window and frame on Ebay. I bought the latches, weatherstrip and bushings from Dr. Rebuild.

Remove the fixed galss from the car. THis is held in by black rubber/goo.

I then cleaned the surface to the bare fiberglass with a wax/grase/tar remover. This takes some time to get it all off

Then glue in the new weatherstrip with 3M weatherstrip adhesive. Follow the instructions carefully.

I then installed the 2 bushings that go on the base of the window. This is where the pins from the window frame sit.

I then set the window in and lined up the latched and marked the holes to drill. Then used stainless hardware and installed the latches.

You will need to find new trim panels with cutouts for the latches. I found one on ebay and I am still looking for another.

This took a few hours and was very simple. Just take your time and mark everything properly. It was the best thing I did to the car so far

I spent under 250.00

the window on ebay was around 100.00 with the frame. THe latches we 40-50 each and I think the weatherstrip was around 40-50 dollars

The "pop out" rear window was standard on coupes from '68-72.

I used tinted plexiglass for my removable rear window. Lightweight, durable and looks great.

I would love to do this to my '75 coupe, but I don't want to diminish the value of my prized Corvette. Seriously though, I'd do it if my plans were to keep the car.

You can find most of the parts on ebay. The removable window will include an aluminum frame and glass. You will not be re-using your stock rear window.
