Hello members, could someone give me some clear tattle tale signs of a real L-88? I have a line on one... its a roadster and has been in a barn for approx. 18 years. Thanks in advance. Don

Here are a few: heavy duty power brakes, dual pin calipers, special adjustable brake porportioning valve mounted under the master cylinder, single fuel line, no radiator shrould, M22 4 speed (auto was available in '69---I think there were 16 of these?), F41 suspension, no air conditioning, no radio and hense a radio block off plate and no ignition shielding, '68 L88's did not have heaters as standard equipment, but I think a heater could be ordered?--in '69 the heaters were standard, but I think they could be ordered without the heater, all Ca. L88's were smog equipped, TI ignition, aluminum heads, l88 only radiator support (I can't tell you the difference, sorry), aluminum radiator and expansion tank, special air induction hood and air cleaner. If you get to see this car, please get every number and code you can. Look for chalk marks on the radiator support, on the rear cross member, or anywhere you can find such. Things that are not there, or evidence of things that were once there can tell a story, so take a zillion photos. Let us know what you find. G.
Just a word of thanks guys...I did go and see the L88 which turned out to be a L71, ummm. The 71 was in dire need. I saw no rust but, didn't look too hard after discovering what it actually was. He's asking 27K if anyone is interested. Thanks! Don
