hey!! are you the officer from vf101? if so, i met you at the hobby shop. i was the one who helped you with the driver's seat issue. i have a spare ram horn manifold, if you want it. i have to go the terminal tommarrow around noon. i can bring it with me if you want to meet me there. free of couse.
you could drive it if the crack isn't dumping the exhaust on anything, but i wouldn't unless i had to (like going to the hobby shop). i will bring this one in with me. i will be there at noon. i think cannon's corvette in moyock has them "used" for like $75. you could also check tidewater corvette in newport news. the owner of tidewater corvette is bob. he's a good guy. cannon's corvette is owned by a guy named robert. i don't really care much for him, but if you need a part asap, he usually has it.
oh, i would love to miss my flight......going to fallon for 31 days!!! i guess i should be happy that i get family sep. pay!!!
As for Tidewater Corvette, I'll never take my vette back to them again. They tried to sell me a $500.00 carb when all it needed was an adjustment on the throttle linkage.

Any shop with "Corvette" in the name throws up a red flag for me. It's like they're saying "hey you, with the Corvette. You know nothing about cars. Come over here and let me rip you off." I know there are good Corvette-only shops out there, but I've heard too many horror stories. Most of the good national parts vendors don't even have "Corvette" in their names.

ive been a welder since i was 14. i know all the steps whan welding cast. but just for giggles and a need to rush, i once welded a 4.2 jeep 6 cyl. exhaust manifold with many cracks with 6011 and no prep. outside of some warpage which was my fault for thinking it wouldnt, it couldnt have come out any better. it is still on the jeep now, like 5 yrs. later. the guys still driving it around. not sure if this helps.
