my new boss has a MINT 73 vette sitting out back and thats all it does. he purchased it new in 73, has VERY VERY few miles on it. Has been painted twice and never been driven off the lot. reason for paint is that it sits in the elements. runs great
just talked to one of the guys here, and he says "ive redone the brakes on it 3 times since it was bought. Last 2 times there was less than 100 miles distance "

Tell him you will work on it for free to get it in good shape, the owner buys the parts your labor. You will get to drive it and rescue a great car from sitting in a grave yard parking lot. I restored the original 66 Batmobile from the TV movie w/Adam West for the same reason. Didn't take a dime from the owner but drove the car as Batman in parade. I'm nuts I guess you can say "car crazy"

This, as my wife would say is "just a Guy with a Corvette" and not a "Corvette Guy"
She made this statement one time while we were on vacation down in Georgia and I was talking with the owner of a nice 69 convertible. He had no clue about the car at all.
got a dude like that here in md. its a 70 -73. cant see the front. he claims it made it thru two wives and hes not getting rid of it now. the weeds are over the roof. OT but my niehgbor has original right down to the belts, 67 conv. camaro, 327 w/ 4spd. refuses to drive it. have lived here for 5 yrs. i have fixed and driven it 3 times, he moved it once. he should be shot IMO.
