Is it Me?
I support and buy stuff from the businesses that advertise here, so what is wrong with that. Lets just keep it fun like it is
Free speech? Better read those rules again:
From Savewave:
"God bless America, where we enjoy constitutionally protected rights. Free speech, although not absolute, is one of those rights.
Being a member at Corvetteforum.com is not, however, a constitutionally protected right. The Forum is a private enterprise and its owner has the right to establish rules of behavior for participants.
Participants who agree to follow Forum rules and then don’t will sometimes find that their inappropriate posts have been deleted. A pattern of such defiance of the Forum’s rules/guidelines will jeopardize a member’s posting privileges."
As far as emoticons....here are the rules per moderator Savewave:
"Emoticons can sometimes be used to express your feelings in a thread without the need for any accompanying text. But a pattern of posting only emoticons gives the appearance that you are guilty of “freeposting” for the purpose of inflating your post count.
Freeposting isn’t allowed at Corvetteforum.com. Moderators will use their best judgment in identifying freeposters, but the judgments will by necessity be subjective."
Now if you feel that you may post anything you want, related to anything you want, anyWHERE you want, well......don't gripe when you suffer the consequences. Been there done that. They WILL take away your forum posting priviledges.
It ain;'t no "FUN" when you have a techie problem and have to sort through hundreds of posts about "does this color of maroon and lime green look good on my car" or "do these fuzzy dice match the greay hairs on my head". Let's keep that nonesenmse in the General section where it belongs. Leve the tech section for serious posts where guys need help or assistance.

And there are few things I find more annoying on this forum then unofficial moderators enforcing their version of the official rules.
I click on that little triangular icon next to the "online indicator" called "Report Bad Post. A little box comes up and I paste this message in the box
"Inappropriate for tech/performance section."

That message is sent to a moderator and it is up to HIM to decide if it's appropriate or not. It's HIS call, NOT mine. Sometimes the post or thread gets moved, sometimes it doesn't. And I welcome anyone else to do the same thing. If we don't police and monitor posts to our own forum, chaos will reign. Why just say "poor mods...they have a tough job". Why not HELP them in that job???
