1971 shift linkage problems.. Need advice.
My shift linkage has completely fell apart on my 71. It has a T400 trans. For the longest time it was getting hard to find park, but I could every once in while. When it was finding park it felt sloppy anyways. Now I have drive and nothing else. The top half of the gear shift fells like I am pushing against a sponge. And can't even get the shifter to move down to 3rd 2nd or 1st. the car is stuck in drive though.
I have access to a lift and I am about to get under it, but I have no idea what to do once I get under there. Is there a shift linkage rebuild kit or anything special I need to know. thanks in advance for the help.
