Hey, the 350/350 was a hi-perf. motor, better innards. the 350/300 was a regular passanger car motor, back in the day I could have told you exactly which parts were different but that was a long time ago and a bunch of trivial crap has seeped into and out of my overtaxed and under utilized brain,,, Someone will chime in I am sure,,,urban legend has it that the 350/350 was just a LT-1 with a hydraulic cam ,,but I dont think so ,,,,,Peace, Moosie

The L-46 350/350 was a hydraulic cam version of the LT-1 with a few other differences in the carb/ign etc. It is down a few ponies because of that cam difference but it had all the good stuff in the bottom end.
If you lower the compression down to 9:1 on a 350/350 it will basicaly become an L-82. Same cam just lower compression smogger heads.
Better cam, bigger valves in the heads, different carb. jetting, different distributor vacuum advance, Higher compression (11:1 v. 10:25), Larger harmonic balancer.
L-46 had a steel crank where the 300hp was cast iron. Also used forged pistons instead of cast, had "pink" rods, larger valves, higher compression heads, and a more radical camshaft grind. The 350hp motor was not offered with the auto trans, since it didn't produce nearly as much low end torque as the base motor.
The 350/350 also used a cast iron manifold with a Qjet carb. It did have a good bottom end like the LT1 and decent heads but did not have the cam intake or carb of an LT1 motor. My father had one that we put in a better cam with the LT1 intake and carb. It was a very fast car for pretty much stock stuff.
