OK - Here is my NON-roots type Whipple a few minutes after I installed it. The have a site where you can get costs (whipplesuperchargers.com) etc. They have just started importing different (new) screw type mechanisms that look to be very nice.
Z-man, I assume you've had plenty of time for some driving time with that supercharger by now. How does she run? Do you have the hood on yet?
Well, yes and no. I'm still tweaking the tuning between snow storms. I haven't driven it as much as I wanted to this winter (work keeps interfering). I'm also doing some cosmetic finishing on the rocker panels around the exhaust pipes, etc. I do have a hood - (aftermarket L88) - but it's still white.
That said, it really drives nicely. The torque is actually quite awesome - just a slight jab on the throttle and the car leaps forward and plants you in the seat. I haven't really done high speed driving yet either but soon...
so this bad boy fits under the L-88 hood? How's the air intake routed for that supercharger?
Joe
-nevermind.... just checked out your website... looks real good.
Thanks - basically, the aftermarket hood works just like the cowl-induction hoods are supposed to work. Air pressure builds up against the windshield and the engine gets it from the rear cowl area of the hood...
