Yes , for the heater/air conditioner . I have checked with O riellys and autozone and they both are metal and actually are from the same company . Even Ecklers showed thiers to be metal . I'll check a few other local parts stores but will probably come up with the same thing . I dont know if this cage will be still be available from G M .

Thanks

Oh .... proper English class !

Not this kind:

It's the heater fan. (I can't find a good picture right now.)

Before we mislead anyone, the motor and the fan are separate components in some vehicles - the circular squirrel cage fan and the electric motor. I haven't had my C3 apart yet - is that the way it is on our cars?

Thanks everyone for the clarification. I would always separate the 2 by calling them the blower motor and fan. I just never heard it referred to as Squirrel cage.

Didn't I see something like that in mouse cages? Hmmmm

Finally got the whole motor and fan from the local O'riellys auto part store ..... ended up being a s-10 pick up application . Sure is great to have heat again .
The GM dealer tried selling me one but the fan was way too long .
