It's now official. I have finally found and purchased a C3. I sold my 99 over the summer and began the search for a nice bumper car. Took a little longer than expected but the right one finally popped up. Snapped a couple of pics when we were bringing her home. Lucked out and had a very nice day (for a January day in WI) for hauling the car. Anyway, she's now safe and sound in my garage. Waiting for spring is going to kill me
I know I'm going to have lots of questions in the future, but I also know where to come for help and answers...the corvette forum!
Looking good I know how you feel, I got mine in Jan. also and any day it was clear with clean roads I had to take it for a spin. Good luck with it and have fun
That pic snapped through the rear window of your truck while hauling it brings back memories. When I was hauling mine I remember looking in the side mirror at times and doing a double take for a second, forgetting I was hauling a car and thinking, "Man, that Corvette is tailing me close!"
Very nice car! I can relate to the first-winter frustrations. I drove mine twice after I trailered it home: around our neighborhood and to the storage garage. I'm going nuts with this warm weather. I'll probably have it back home by the end of January and kick my truck out of the garage.
Oh yes, at first I also had those nervous feelings when towing - glancing in the rear view mirror and seeing that strange vette really, really close.
