as you may or may not know i bought a 75 vette and tore it apart. pulled the body off and am in the process of backhalving the frame with a ford 9 inch rear. i built a 489 CI / 871 SC BBC for it . I also have a spare front clip from my 65. i was looking at all this stuff the other day and was wondering if it is possible to graft the front end and a back section of a C2 onto the middle or birdcage portion of the C3. anyone know of this ever being done. , what was involved. i don't know for sure if i want to do this but i was staring at the stuff in the garage drinking some beer and you know how that goes. any leads to something similier would be appreciated.
i was thinking of doing it right up to the doors on both front and rear. when you look at the lines at that point they aren't so far off that you can't do some glass work to make it happen, maybe chopping the top off and making it a roadster. i mean the thing is getting a roll cage, fats and skinneys, a blower sticking out of the hood, rack and pinion steering and a fabricated interior. not like it is going to be anything in particuler other then some kinda "vette".

I remember seeing 55-57 Bel Air's like this. The front clips on those cars are interchangeable and fit right on surrounding years. It used to be quite common to see the more attractive 56 front clip on a 55 Bel Air.
