Correct Alternator Clocking and Wiring Harness Position
OK, you probably thought you would never hear this question from me since my Vette is far from NCRS correct.
I'm in the process of replacing the alternator. I've come across a couple issues that I have questions on. All the parts books call for the alternator clocked at the 12 o'clock position. The assembly manual shows it clocked at 9 o'clock. Here's a good web site that explains the clocking positions if anybody is unclear on that.MAD Enterprises
Also I'm not clear on how the bracket on the wiring harness attaches to the alternator and the positioning of the wiring.
Pictures would be most helpful and thanks in advance for any help on this.

I reclocked mine to keep the wiring down low. Right now my plug is around the 5 o'clock position. Got the plug out of the way down low, the ground is now on the inside toward the fender liner. Positive is also on the lower half of the alternator.
