Hello all, i just wanted to say that you guys (gals?) are all great. i just joined the forum this week and have had nothing but fun. leartned some new stuff, shared some stuff, love the pics, though im still not sure how to upload mine. This is the best site ever, and i thank all of you who take the time to respond to questions.

Ive had my 68 for two years now, (sold a matching numbers RS/SS 67 camaro) and dive as often as possible. im doing a rolling resto, building from the inside out. Hopefully this year ill do the hot rod power tour since is ends near my home town of East Brunswick (next to Old Bridge) NJ Love Raceway Park.

Drive on

BTW Im still looking for help on finding someplace that will dye a new set of 80 seat covers Tobacco ( the color of my interior)

Tim

I am sure that is somewhat of a joke but the point of posts are not to boost your 'points'. There have been many threads recently talking about useless posts where people are just trying to increase their post count.

Sensitive people do not last long around here. I would try posting the sidepipes request in the C3 Parts section and you might get a response. I remember reading a post a while back where someone was selling some sidepipes and they were posted in that section.

Hello and welcome.
For the sidepipe question, I would check periodically on the FOR SALE section. Sometime they may show up. I know from reading the Forum that there is usally informaiton on someone trying to add sidepipes to their car.

Having a 68 puts you in an unique spot since many of the parts seem to be one year only.

Good luck on your restoration.

Default exactly

Right the 68 has some very neat one year stuff not the least of which is the one year large journal 327. thts part of why i bought the car!!! I did quite a bit of resarch on this and right now th only part i want that i cant find is the Center gauge console. the reason is that this console was pebble finished from late 68 forward. Mine however is smooth finished, and also cracked where in a place that is not obvious, but also not easily repariable. Not a biggie but ill have t be creative about how i refurbish it. brake out the soldering kit i guess.

thanks for the welcome

Welcome, but I would be proactive and start a WTB thread in the Parts For Sale section and of course you should be checking ebay.
