Default Extra Parts

I purchased my new ball joints and in the box was some extra parts. Other than the over sized lock washers there was a some kind of bolt with a bumper stop type head. looked like some kind of stop. Anyone have an idea what this bolt is, what its for, etc?

Does it have two bolt holes? If so this is the lower bumper that bolts to the lower A-Frame (control arm) Go to Keen Corvettes website and you will find a nice diagram that shows you exactly where it goes.

Nope....one one per box, and its all metal. looks like some kind of shoulder bolt, or metal stop. Also had lock washers that were about 3 times over sized.

Is it shaped like a big gum-drop with a bolt sticking out of the end?

Probably the upper-control-arm bump stop. Here's a pic from my AIM showing where it goes.

Well you got me then. Do what I do and that's throw them in the spare parts box.

if its a lower ball joint you baught, this would be the correct bolt for the front mount hole on the control arm. Dont know why its like that but every one I have seen has this there. Must be some kind of turn stop or to simulate the factory rivet.
