Anyone know if they fit a 72 coupe without spacers?

No problem with the correct backspacing.

My concern of course is caliper clearance. Looking at the dimensions, they are really close.

TT2 = 16x8, 4" backspace, -11mm offset.
TTD = 16x8, 4" backspace, -12mm offset.

What size tires are you running? I want to stay with 16" because I don't want 17" with such a low profile tire. With the potholes in the N.E., need I say more.

Thanks, it looks great. My brother has the same size on his 72 coupe no rubbing issues at all.

Its not the backspace that causes the issue, its the shape of the spoke (the back of the spoke to be exact).

The TT 2's have a curved spoke in the back to allow for clearance of the 'vettes calipers.
Not sure if the D's are straight spoke or not, but with the 1" extra diameter the spokes may come forward enuff to clear the caliper.

Nick,

I haven't seen them in person but in the pictures, they look pretty straight. I wanted to order a set of rims this week and I have it narrowed down to TT2, TTD, or their new TrakStar S/S.

As of right now, I am only sure that the TT2's will work!

By the way, as I look at the picture of your car, it seems familiar. Were you at the show in Katonah this past fall?

Cheers!

American Racing did start making a set of the TTII's with powder coated center spokes. You might want to check. they weren't available when I bought mine.
