is awfully 'stiff' rolling up and down, passenger side is just fine. Any tricks at all to 'loosening' this up without having to pull the door panel off to get in and lube everything? Sorry for the stupid question but I've found sometimes door panels can be a pia to get off, never did a 'Vette before. Thanks.
Does the window act "stiff" if you run it up and down with the door open? How about with the car running vs. off?
From what I've heard, pulling the door panel off probably your next step -- clean and lube the tracks and stuff. I've pulled the door panel, and it's not too bad. Getting the stuff out of the door ...well, lets just say that will test your patience
I think it's a bit better with the door open, engine running? They're crank. Thanks Brian, that's just what I want to hear, about what fun it will be in there. I'm slowly finding out how much 'FUN' ANYTHING is to do on these.

Sorry, I have power windows and I assumed -- which was poor form. At any rate, I know that mine perform better when the engine is running, but that really doesn't change how the human operates the handle, does it?
Unfortunately, there are many areas that make you just want to scream. However, when everyone else looks at it, they can't see a single one of them, and they just see a cool car -- so that helps
Well, the power windows on my old 70 and the 71 I'm playing with now both work better (up & down) with the door open. Reason?? - tight fitting window weatherstripping....
