Default Frame colors?

Anyone out there with pics of their frame in any colors than basic black. I was thinking of powder coating mine in red to match the car, with suspension and steering parts in black for contrast. Any input??? This is what I have to work with...Good and solid(thank God)

Before I painted my frame black I thought about colors and then decided not to because of the upkeep...keeping it clean, I just don't have the time to wipe the frame down besides all the othe parts. IMHO.

someone out there has a white one, looked pretty spiffy. Don't know how it held up to dirt/grease though....

How about silver? This pic is Rust Bullet silver which is a flat finish, but a metallic silver would look great. I painted over this color with chassis black because I'm building a driver but I was tempted to just clear-coat over the Bullet.

I used gunmetal. Here is a good contrast of the black and gunmetal.

Default frame colors

I got a gallon of sherwin williams lilac polane polyurethane enamel for all the running gear.

it was a RAL color code, which is a standard color book from europe.

most machine tools are painted with this stuff, so it's got to be tough.

for a ground up ultra resto 68 coupe i hope to finish before I die.

Its called hammerite rust cap not hammered rust cap. no chemicals dissolve it accept acetone. You can buy it in spray cans of paint it on. It is pretty durable and doesn't chip easily. Its not as tough as por-15 but it doesn't have the hideous 1 inch thick look of por15. I bet if you put alot on it whould be as tough.

Where can I pick up the hammerite product online (and in the US)?

Thanks,
Steve
