Anyone using pegboard in your garage to hang tools? how well does it work for you? Any suggestions?

Im wanting a way to have better access to my tools without having to dig thru a tool box

I use it you just need to build a 2x4 frame to hang it on and give it support.

My garage is unfinished and uninsulated, I just screwed the pegboard directly to the studs. I'd like to buy about 5-10 more sheets and cover all of the walls. Right now I have 4 full sheets. - not enough to hang and neatly display stuff.

I used 1x2 furring strips to off-set the peg-board a little to let the hangers have clearance. Paint the peg-boards semi-gloss so it will clean up nicely!

There are actually packs of screws with plastic collars designed specifically for pegboard. These are spacers giving you the correct clearance between the wall and the board. I put anchors in the drywall, and screwed these guys in and the pegboard works great. Very easy.

I use this stuff.

PVC Slatwall

It holds 25+ lbs extended 12" out. It washes down with a hose and looks great.
